3rd Grade

I recently started teaching in a new county, closer to home. I absolutely love it here! The faculty and children are amazing! I recently taught in Richmond County where I made an hour drive one way to teach children. It broke my heart leaving behind so many of the children who called me mama instead of Ms. Martinez. I make it my responsibility to still keep in touch with many of them. The two hour drive each day was worth it!

This year I am teaching 3rd grade. Second time, as I have taught 5th, 3rd, and 2nd grade. I enjoy teaching, regardless of the grade. However, I do believe my heart lies in 2nd and 3rd grade. I am eager to see what lies in store for me next year as well. I have the inclusion class this year and I love it! So many diverse chlidren with mixed disabilities in one room. I enjoy planning lessons which meets the needs of every child in my classroom. I have also started thinking about getting my SPED certification as well. We never know what the future holds.
